WebOct 11, 2016 · We had Howdens. Their prices are all over the place. Ours started at £6400 - top of the range painted oak, lots of units. We waited for the sale in October and it was £4,800. Our fitter (who works for them also) was a bit dear at £1275 as I wanted to pay £1000 max. He got a further discount to £4,500 so we were all happy.

I got solid wood doors and solid wood bench tops for less than what Wren quoted for cheaper options. He even came back and did some extra decorating work to finish the job off nicely. Our Howdens quotes (looked them up 'cos previous threads) actually show how many % the builder is getting off the ''retail' price. Most of the time it was about 70% OFF.

As Howdens is for the trade market, I was not told individual prices.
